The goal of the UNIGLOBE Counsellor Excellence Awards is to recognize and reward performance excellence, measured in the following areas:
- Professionalism and Dependability - 20%
- Productivity and Profitability - 80%
As in previous years, the total number of points available is 185.
To be eligible, travel counsellors must have been employed with UNIGLOBE for a minimum of one year.
At the UNIGLOBE Travel (Western Canada) Spring Conference, recognition will be given to all counsellors who meet the eligibility criteria and who have achieved a specific level of performance:
- Gold: 140 points and over
- Silver: 110 – 139 points
- Bronze: 70 to 109 points
The counsellor with the highest number of points will receive the "Counsellor of the Year" Award at conference.
Points are earned through participation in mandatory UNIGLOBE training sessions and Preferred Partner training sessions, as well as overall sales performance – productivity and profitability across all vendor types. An additional 3 points can be earned if the individual has attained any of the following travel industry designations: CTC, CTM, ACC, or MCC. A copy of the certificate must accompany the nomination.
